For the Americans. The Kavanaugh hearings.
But since it’s my blog, I’m talking about my moving back to Shanghai.
There are lots of loose ends awaiting to be tie tight before I’m gone-gone.
I confess that the delay of this week’s podcast (great guest by the way) is not an accident…
I’ve been watching ALL the late night talk shows (John Oliver, Tevor Noah, Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers, Conan O’Brian, Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon — all male… sadly) on the Kavanaugh hearings as if my life and future depend on it, as if someone is going to do a life-changing American politics pop quiz on me.
Usually without the venues of the blogs and the podcasts, I put myself on hold and on silence. I would go weeks, if not months, on end without writing a word until my creative mind went crazy like a monkey that I absolutely had to write things down.
But I do now. I feel the pull of my promise.
My last few days’ blogs are just ‘meh’ and I know it. But I also know this: if I don’t keep posting on a daily basis and pushing through the dip , I might very likely give in to resistance.
Here is the basic brain logic: once we break our promise for one day, it’s easier not to do it again, and again, and again… until we stop, entirely.
I’m not feeling my best, but I shall still keep on writing.
